Victorian Alliance Holiday Home Tour 2023
The Victorian Alliance of San Francisco Hosted Its First Holiiday Home Tour on December 10, 2023. The home tour tickets reached capacity a few days before the tour. There is pent up demand from Bay Area residents to visit and appreciate Victorian homes. George Horsfall, the owner of the Blue Painted Lady participated in the tour. Gail Baugh this year’s Home Tour Chair was impressed with the turnout. “We had holiday carolers and some of the home owners even served refreshments.” This was a festive occasion and we heard many people say that they will include this in their yearly holiday traditions.”
HoLIDAY HOME TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Alamo Square and surrounding Lower Haight were the neighborhoods we selected for the very first Victorian Alliance Holiday Home Tour. Alamo Square is the home of the “Painted Ladies” and many of the most beautiful and renown Victorians in San Francisco.
The festive atmosphere was electric and everyone had a great time. There were lines for some of the homes on the tour, but carolers and strolling docents helped keep everyone smiling and going through the tour.
We hope to keep this tradition for the holidays and do this each year with your support! Home Tours are important sources of funding for VASF and the monies collected help our grants program to restore and renovate historical sites throughout the Bay Area.
